Changing Fonts in Default Themes????

I've set my site up with the "black and white" theme for my look and feel, but is there anyway to change the fonts associated with the specific themes?? like for the description?? i'm just not a big fan of some of the writing styles for the default themes. can anyone help me??? :dunno
