I have a shed full of these fella's.

They are 'Huntsmans' and are not considered dangerous. They do have a powerfull bite as they are 4-5 " in diameter (i have seen them 8") but it sort of feels like sticking a needle into your finger...swells up a bit & hurts but thats all. They really only bite when people pick stuff up & accidently squash them....the hide everywhere. Had the odd one in my helmet...best emergency freeway stoppie i have ever done on the GS...had them come up onto the tank whilst riding as well.

:rofl i usually do but i was in a hurry that night. I used to live in Funnel Web country & never EVER put a boot on without checking first. They are well known to bite through a toenail.

Oh lord, I'm afraid that's precisely why I could never live in Oz. I'm too skeered.
