Is it me or has something changed. I customized my smugmug page using Dgrin customization and it works great. Thanks, to those who spent so much time helping me to look better. My Home Page (http://www.tonymcguiness.smugmug.com/). And I love it. But after a few days of this cool customization (thanks Shizam, and all those involved), the load got slow, and the smugmug splash lingers longer than I would like. The only thing I notice different is the 'api' in front of .smugmug on the load. My computer is fast, it's not my computer. Could it be the new code in my customization? or is something at smugmug that is a bit slower. I know nothing about servers, code, or hosting, I just know my home page slide show has slowed a bit. What is this 'api.', by the way, and is it new?

api.smugmug.com is a server which is typically accessed by 3rd party applications that use our API (http://smugmug.jot.com/WikiHome/API). The Flash slideshow uses the api endpoint to access the information that it requires to run.

We are working on some optimisations to speed stuff up.

Cheers,

David
