Rained all week in Las Vegas! ---- so I photographed water falls and reflections in the desert. Hand held 1/4 of a second - balanced on a wet rock.

Good capture Bob under difficult conditions. I got to shot in Red Rock awhile ago. It is one fantastic place to shoot.

Thanks - There was a guy there with a tripod - I hope he took some better pictures. Lots of water standing around. All of the streams were full and flowing.

I would guess the flowers will be out in force in another week.

I've enjoyed your photos from afar.

I also made it to the Valley of Fire. I actually like this park better than Red Rocks. Here is a sample photo.

Sweet shot. I wanted to get out to the Valley of Fire but I was a delegate at a convention and I just couldn't make the time to get out there.

I just got back yesterday from Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire. Mojave, and Las Vages. I will post more after I rest up and have time to post process.

After I posted, I noticed the colors seem to be washed out? I am going to try the save to web thing and see if that makes a difference.

Ok the web thing didn't improve the photo. I uped the Saturation a little and post again to compare.

Sam,

Great shots. I like that Calico Tanks area. The Petrogylphs near Mouses Tank were very nice the day I was there. It was a little overcast.....a storm was on the horizon. Here is a link to my other Valley of fire and Red Rock Canyon shots.

You have some very nice shots in there. What is interesting is the difference between the photos that two people will take at the same location. Here is a photo I took of the same Petrogylphs you have.

I was at Valley of Fire today. We are probably going to Red Rock Canyon tomorrow. I think I have a few decent shots to post. I only took my Canon S1, so I have a little work to get them to the web. Time to head back to the Luxor for the next few days, nothing like sleeping in a big pyramid. :):
