Hey everybody. I've neglected this forum the last couple months. But honestly I haven't had anything to post. So here is a moose from Jasper in Canada at Medicine Lake. Hope you'll have me back.

Come on back Nick. And feed that moose. It looks scrawny! :wink Seriously, it must be a juvenile on some pretty parched land or dried up pond. I like the few footsteps that trail behind.

Aw, you know we all love a little gluwater with our Dgrin!

I have a new obsession with moose after seeing the shots from the pre-shootout. I love the fact that it posed for you on the utterly-perfect backdrop of a dried lake. Way to go, moosey!

A very interesting shot, Nick.

I looked at it for some time and didn't get bored.

It has a quality that I like...perhaps it's: such a large creature looking so helpless. Maybe "forlorn" would be a better discription.

Hey everybody.

Hi, Nice capture and a very interesting background. Looks like what our lakes are going to look like pretty soon if we don't get some rain.

Thanks everyone. The dried lakebed is Medicine Lake. It is not actually a lake but a watershed for the Maligne River. The river flows underground and when the icemelt is in full effect it creates a lake. Check out Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicine_Lake_%28Alberta%29) for more info. So this is the norm for Medicine Lake at this time of year.

Wow! I like this shot:clap :clap :clap
This must have been taken on an extremely overcast day, not a hint of a shadow.
