Thanks Harry, this gopher just posed for me, I was quite close.
I had a coyote do the same for me today but I had my camera settings wrong and ruined a perfect front shot with camera shake. Doh! Live and learn :D

Nice gopher photo........how do you know it is not a large rat? Because it is where it is and not in NYC? :rofl
You know this live and learn thing? I have lived and learned long enough, with the Rebel and now the 20D, that a certain percentage of my settings will be wrong a certain percentage of the time.
I have never shot different type subjects before. With the different lighting. I am not in my old comfort zone, and there is so much to remember, even with it written down, I am going to screw it up a certain percentage of the time. Sad isn't it.
Have I mentioned, yet, in this thread, that I bought Noise Ninja last night. Tested it first and tested Neat Image. But I can screw things up that nothing can fix, and I can do it on a regular basis, with different settings.....
ginger cute, rat, squirrel, lost gerbil.........uh gopher? I thought they were bigger.
