My most recent shoot went pretty good I think. The family had only one complaint.. that she didn't smile in some pictures. I happen to like them that way. Let me know what you think;

These are very nice. I am noy a huge fan of the treatment in #2, but they are all winners, and great compositions.

1 and 3 are amazing!!! Lovely poses and composition. As far as the smiling, if they're not smiling you still need to get some expression out of them, her eyes need to tell you something. In #2 they're a little "dead". The parents still may not like them, but we will! :rofl

Well, I understand what you're saying. It's not all that easy to get someone to give you more feeling in their eyes :) Sometimes you just get what you get. And, even tho the parent said something about not smiling, she still bought prints of the "non-smiling" ones :) I'll take it!

Given the support expressed for 1 and 3 thusfar, I feel obliged to say how good #2 looks! The lighting is really special. She looks like a doll.

I think I did pretty good for a single umbrella flash at night.
