Hi you'll:wave
This a shot I took at sunset. the cormorants in the tree were backlit soI would've had to blow out the sky to get any detail. Instead I went for a silhouette effect.

Harry, those shots are COOL and SUPER COOL. I particularly like the egrets, not because they are egrets, but because there are a bunch of them.
I have not seen bunches, not to that degree. I wonder if they are headed up here.
You seem to have these super cool shots to bring out when you want to, not as a big deal. I like them better than the eagle.
ginger (I would like to start seeing some lions and tigers soon, this bird thing, maybe you could branch out.)
I personally love your dust spot! Shows your human side. You know, the common man, like us.

Glad you liked em. The egrets were just heading out from their roost for a day of feeding. Since I take close to a 1000 pics a week I have managed to accumulate a reserve of shots.
I woulld love to shoot a lion or tiger but theydon't pass through my part of town too often. I only shoot what we got. I left that dust spot on intentionally to give them all something to talk about.http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/icon10.gif
OH, here's a tiger for ya

Hey Fish,
Control no, but with the right offer of a large amount of frogs they are willing to take on certain assignments. :lol3
Thanks, but thats an old dust spot and it was zapped awhile ago. I am happy to see that it gave you a smile.

Hey Jeff,
Not to worry, if there were any big cats in the swamp I wouldn't be there. We do have a few feral cats running around though.
Its great that you are taking a photo class. I found that the $ spent on that goes a lot further than buying more equipment.:thumb

Great Picture:thumb I like the silouette effect, and I won't say nothing about egrets cause I have seen enough in my life time, I love them but I want a picture of an owl thats on my things to shoot list. Or I should say photograph not shoot, though were the safest kind of hunters..
