I'm trying to fight against my own vanity, so be rough! I'll be angry, but do not mind, I'll find the cure. :D Called this one "darkness for (the) cure" :

Interesting surrealist composition. This is not a simple image to appreciate. Good for you for daring to be challenging.

I think your composition could be even stronger with more striking contents in the drawers. Particularly if the contents play off one of each other more. The 2nd drawer is the best in terms of thematic content because it gradually reveals the direction of gravity. However, the plant is very small in the frame. You could do something bigger, even something that trails over the edges of the drawers.

The 1st item is texturally interesting, but hard to identify.

The 3rd item is what? a package of pills? I think something more interesting could be found for that spot.

I think you have a very strong compositional idea here. What you put in the drawers will really make it work. I hope you keep developing the idea. (I wish I'd thought of it!)

This was one of my favorite images from the recent Challenge. It interested me partly because I wasn't quite sure what all of the contents of the boxes were. I felt by the title that they represented different healing beliefs. I felt the last box contained a package of cough lozenges possibly. I know that plants are commonly used for healing, but I am not familiar with this particular one. I know there are healing stones, but I am totally ignorant on this practice. You are from Croatia, and I noticed the stone appears to have remnants of crustaceons embedded on it. I'm probably way off here! I even Googled healing stones and Croatia. The two subjects seem to have a tie. Could be a piece of antiquity or a religious artifact. Anyway, my ignorance (and others I would assume) can be part of the difficulty in conveying your message in a shot like this. Technically, I love everything about it. The lighting on the objects is super. The one small thing I'm not crazy about, is the placement of the medicine, in particular, appears too unatural. The positioning looks forced.....I keep waiting for it to fall!!! I hope you will enlighten me about the contents of the boxes! :D

Thank you for c&c. :D Well, this is first time I made a photo on given theme. First, asked myself would I deal with shadow or with light source. Then concentrared on stone which was brought from beach this summer and I tried to put it in position that would create three differently illumined surfaces placed in dark background. After number of shots I noticed drawer and conceived it as shadow containers where things could be put in like rising from darkness as it is some kind of material fluid. I tried to put three objects in context (yeah, they represented different healing beliefs, or something like evolution). Then there came technical realisation after some high ISO shots. I couldn't manage to use tripod in convetional way because it was top-down view, also I wanted to use higher zoom to equalize size of drawers, but it turned in compromise with camera mounted on handheld folded tripod in horizontal position over top of drawer and consequential wider angle of view. Cactus is bent because of light source direction on its original site. Third item is painkiller I found in that drawer.

Composition in my opinion is unbalanced and somehow confusing:dunno

Appreciate your criticism! I'll post more images in this "whiping area", I kinda like it as I like my images too :D

Interesting and intriguing shot - unlike anything I have seen on any forum before. It is quite an achievement to "think up" a totally new setup. Congratulations on that!
How would it look with the cactus on the other side of the drawer? So that it appears toward the top of the image?

I'm confused! That's all I've got!
