The female model does a good job of evoking a sense of a princess or medieval times lady.

The male model's just "blah." Is he wearing sweats or something? Whatever it is, it doesn't work. His posture is also missing any sense of participation in the scene and looks like he has a "is it over yet?" attitude about him.

This is too bad because this could've been an interesting contrast of two medieval times characters against a modern city backdrop.

Put the guy in some medieval attire, give him some kind of attitude / participation in the scene, and you'd have a more interesting pic.

I have to say that I agree. I think this is a beautiful shot. The sunlight and colours are very nice. The soft focus fits with the feel of the female model.

Unfortunatly the guy in the shot takes away your attention from the main female subject and he looks a little uncomfortable. If you could photoshop him out of the picture maybe...

I can't believe my first post is gonna be in the whipping post, but.. :rolleyes

I would try to make the guy a silloutte and see if that helps. Also, the sensor flare (Is that what it's called??) -- the green and red spots near her hand are bugging me. Maybe because I know it is sensor reflection -- if I didn't know that's what it was, maybe it would be more "artistic." :dunno

Otherwise, I kinda like it. It's different.

Looks like 'lens flare' to me (either way it's light bouncing around inside somewhere). Personally I'm with you, I like it.

Belle Isle? I like the photo, but agree that the male is "distant" from the scene.

I miss Detroit....bet ya don't hear a whole lot of folks saying that.

i like the photo i just think it needs little work like others have said. dont take out the guy however because to me that would take alot away from the photo.

i like the idea of silloutting him, if you do that it would be easy to make his head so it did not look like it was leaning to the left (making it look like he was standing tall, waiting for his girl)
