thanks Al...yes...bigma & some flash because of the shade & backlight.

I only had the bigma cause I was looking for birds, but it works pretty good on stuff like this.:thumb

Wow! What color and in the last pic, the wing is actually transparent enough to see the shadow of the petals in the flower behind the monarch! Great images.
