@zacker: I took the #1, #2, #4 with 5D, #3, #6 with 20D and #5 with Canon A620. My filter is Hoya R72.

thanks Ravic, im trying to decide if its worth it to get the filter for my 30D... i hear good and bad things about IR with canon DSLR's... so do you have to do the whole, focus and meter then screw the filter on and do a long SP to get it to work with your 20D?

@zacker: I used 30d. And i think no problem with IR on 30d. The main point in IR technique is lens. Cause some lens makes the hotspot on your IR image. I think You should choose the prime lens for IR. I suggest you use 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1.8 ...They are cheap and the filters for them is cheap too (Hoya R72 for 52mm or 58mm)
Noneed focus before screw the filter. You frame the subject, and crew the filter (after crew the filter, you can't see anything through the view-finder...). The camera can focus with AF.
