Not that many pictures, yet. Needs some cleanup, in due time.

But now I am flummoxed as to what Smugmug theme I should use. I've narrowed it down to Gradient Grey, or Gradient White.

Gradient White: Buy/Cart options stand out, but too many different font colors. Also when opening up a picture in L large, the lightbox opaque effect of seeing the site below is all in white. I really want black.

Gradient Grey: Love how virtually all font and buttons are grey, but shopping cart does not stand out.

Please look at these two sets of screen shots from my site:

So please let me know which theme is your favorite. The overall goal is pleasing aesthetics (uniform fonts, color, style), and awareness pictures can be bought (pesky cart buttons). Thanks!

(And if you'd like, peruse the rest of the site and let me know what you think, link below.)

I prefer the gradient white. I find the darker gray behind the lightbox jarring given that your site is predominantly light colored. (Or is the initial gradient gray shot not really gradient gray? That one still looks pretty light, but the background deepens quite a bit on the lightbox shot.)

Obviously, it's your choice though. You should use whichever one makes you happier.

Well I think I will use Gradient White. But I love the look of the lightbox in gradient grey, of the black lightbox shade. Im thinking of sort of merging the two: using gradient white and the gradient grey lightbox only.

Opinion: Do you think it will be to jarring when going into the dark lightb ox of gradient grey, from the white website? I'm not a fan of the Gradient White lightbox....to white, not a good contrasting color to show pics. But I'd like to hear folk's opinions on this....

Sorry guys, the OP was a bit cluttered. Could you just give me your ideas/comments on my site....

www.paintbypixels.com

I have just finished the overall site feel and layout, and today I will be adding several galleries to build up the site.

-If you want to move around the site are links where you expect them to be?

-What do you think of the design, is it too cluttered or to 'barren?'

-In terms of aesthetics, would you add, change or remove any part of the site?

-How does the site 'flow.' When looking at pictures, changing picture sizes, etc?

One thing I noticed is:
If you look at the 2nd comment in this gallery (http://www.paintbypixels.com/gallery/2594585) you can not see 2. Amanda
Add the red to expose it.

Also check your other thread. It now has the correct code for the lightbox opacity.
