I've been a lurker for the past several weeks, utilizing this forum to build my site. I decided to come out and finally post because I feel my gratitude needed to be shared to those who spend countless hours helping users like myself to customize their site.

I'm not a coder, but with the informative threads (and a capable search engine), I've been able to do literally everything I wanted to do with my site.

Before my site goes "live" with my friends and family, I wanted to get some C+C ... please note that the links in the Public Galleries are not yet linked to an actual page. I'm looking to see if there's any thoughts about additional tweaks I can make.

Thanks again for making me a SmugMug addict!!!

prefaced by, I have not looked at the design or the photos, or anything subjective. These are strictly functional issues:
1) there is an extra 'piece' in your navbar that appears as a vertical bar - remove this from your navbar:
    |
2) Your Information page repeats itself.
3) For the Guestbook and Blog pages, you may want to hide the #altViews element to hide the slideshow button (since I expect the blog and the Guestbook will be text-focused).

I do like the layout on the homepage and worry how much work it will take to change it anytime you visit somewhere new!:D

Thanks Bill for your C+C ~ and yes, I was looking for functional recommendations (which is why the Info content repeats itself right now!). The reason for the "
    |     " was because I was trying to visually separate the "Information" and "About" tabs, which are really not part of the core navigation ~ i liken it to "Help" and "Admin" links on software apps that are right aligned, away from the core links on the left hand side of the navigation bar. I re-did this, removing the boxes around the text and providing simply more visual space... what do you (or other readers) think about this re-design?

Thanks in advance!

...but I find the dark blue tough to read against the black background. (I read somewhere that blue is the hardest wavelength for our eyes to focus.) I think a lighter/brighter blue might be easier to read. Or perhaps a shade of gray...
