I didn't have anything pressing, so I went to the Ft. Worth, TX Zoo to have some fun. The zoo is rated in the top 5 in the US.

I've only converted about half of my pics from RAW and put in my gallery so far.

Comments always welcome...

Troy, Dave & Stephen...

Thank you very much!

Question:
I'm not looking for a pic by pic critique, but am always interested in why a particular picture stands out for someone. I try and ask this of myself also. Not only do I find that interesting, but a great learning tool.

Sometimes it can be as simple as "I like flowers", or the lighting is what does it for me, or it could be a good composition, or in rare cases it could be all of the above.

I'm not real good at guessing, so why don't I just ask?

If you like a particular picture, would you be so kind to tell why...

Not a critique, just your "likes"

I hope that's not asking more than I should here, just wanting to learn more, to make my photography better.

Thanks,
Randy

What a great set! My favorites are the zebra and the snake in #12. I love the contrast, clarity, and sharpness in these shots. You are really a great photographer. Perfect exposures.

And, I'll add #1. He looks great!

Personally, I love the expression, color and detail in the two gorilla pics. I think they are magnificent animals. My second favorite would be number 9. The color of the lizard with the dark background makes the colors pop!

Thanks Hamster...

And thank you for giving a little in-site to reasons.

As far as a set... It's only half the set, (I haven't converted the rest), but I'm afraid I might get run off if I keep posting so many pictures!

Thank you Stephen for taking the time to come back and give that information.

Yall' can't really know how much I appreciate it!!!

And, hopefully it will make me a better photographer... Isn't that what we are all after...
