Is this where suggestions go? Sorry if this is off topic...
I have a smugmug site that I'm happy with. Basically my main page is all about the images and don't bother them with any text (www.liveactionimages.com). I have the slide show hack, most popular photos and a catagory list. Nothing fancy but I like it.
Now here's the suggestion. Wouldn't it be great to be able to create a subsite that would allow you to do all the same customization as the main page? For example, if you were a wedding photographer you could create a subsite for each wedding. The main page could have a slide show of wedding only images, popular photos selected just by the families and friends, and catagories for each subject area (Groom, Bride, Ceremony, Reception, etc).
I think this would have many possibilities for other applications as well. Covering high school sports? You could dedicate the subsite to the school and capture all the separate sports under it.
This would be something that would allow me to bring all my assignments to SmugMug instead of having other web sites.
Anyway, what do you think?
