Hi, I've not been able to get out and about much lately so I've been taking some experimental shots of flowers and other things in my garden shed which has some quite nice natural lighting characteristics.

What do you think, here are a few:-

They're showing up for me, and I have to say, the lighting is superb. I'm also really enjoying the compositions, though I wish I could see them a bit larger here.

The first, third, and last shots appeal to me most. (I must have a thing for twine. :wink)

Thanks Kerry, it's nice to find some natural light that seems to work well, I've still never used any sort of studio lighting which is a skill I need to acquire, apart from flash of course.

I know what you mean about twine, I love the way it photographs, or is it the being tied up :rofl

Beautiful shots, Charlie! The twine and scissors shots are especially creative and very nice. I also like the red poppies. Great job! :thumb

You are right, the lighting in that spot is great, but I am a sucker for natural lighting in photographs. I especially admire your deft use of Depth of Field in these shots. Leads the eye right where it needs to go. Good work!:clap

They are all really nice :thumb

If I had to pick just one it would be #3. Though #1 is tugging at my attention just as strongly. Well done! :D

Thoughtful compositions and excellent use of lighting.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, I was really pleased with these and I'm glad you like them, I've been a bit fed up with not being able to get out and about with my camera but it's actually forced me to produce some of my best pictures.
