Hi there! I shot a firework last weekend and was hoping for
some feedback and comments on my results. I shot most of
the time with a Tele often at 300mm with shutter speeds of
2-5 seconds. Guessing the position of the explosions was a
real challenge for me and I ended up with alot of cut off
explosions at the long end of the zoom range. Out of about
50 frames this is what I like most ...

Fireworks shots containg just fireworks are usually tedious
and completely uninteresting. There should be something else in
the photo to put the fireworks themselves in context. That's why
I don't care for any of the first images, but absolutely love
the last one. It's fantastic.

I agree somewhat with pyrtek, but I love the "Palms" one! It's a great capture in an abstract way. Looks just like wireframe palm trees. Nice work!

Actually, that one is rather interesting. An exception to the informal
and subjective "rule" I have. :)

Hi there Manfr3d, I love that last shot :nod
Unfortunately with Fireworks the display is over with way too soon,
not a lot of chance to figure out if your going horribly wrong,
or if all is okay :dunno

You really have to be in the right spot right from the start don't you.

You did pretty darn good by the looks of these :clap

Well done! ..... Skippy :D
