Hi guys, I'm new to this board. My name is Amanda, or Mayndi for short, and I'm a 20 year old from Indiana. Below is a picture of me, and below BELOW is a picture of a private pond my boyfriend and I went fishing at this year already
(the whole reason I'm at this board!).

I just recieved a Sony Cybershot 4.1 for Christmas (i know i know, not a very great camera) but I've been snapping pictures galore ever since. I just wanted some place where I could show some of the pictures I've been taking. And what a website!
Here's the picture below.

Again, can't wait to talk to some of you on here! I have tons of pictures I'd love to share and I'd love to see your pics too!
Love, Mayndi

Welcome Mayndi,
I started with a 2 mp Kodak DC when I got back into photography so you're doing better than I was.
Thats a pretty pic with great colors. :thumb You need to get your horizon straight on those shots and turn off that dang date stamp. :):

Hi Mayndi! :wave
Sounds like you may be coming down with a case of incrediblyexpensivecameramania. Do you have any of the following symptoms: can't stop taking piccies, love to show your shots, stick your tongue out at your own camera, find yourself getting deeper and deeper into photography?
If so, congratulations, you're as sick as the rest of us. :lol3
ps Nice sunset. 'cause there's no way that's a sunrise, right? :evil

Thanks so much for the critiquing. It helps a lot into knowin what to look for. I had the stupid date stamp on taking pictures of the little girl so her mother would know when they were shot. (it must be that motherly thing lol). i keep forgetting to turn the darn thing off! so when i see the op. to take a picture, i shoot something i'm really proud of, and see this huge red stamp on it lol.
again thanks!

I like what the clouds are doing with this shot. I'm not really good at taking pictures myself yet so I don't have any impressive comments for you except that I think that sometimes you should get up to see the sunrise. I go out for morning papers but neglect to bring my camera. Missing some great shots. Screw sleeping patterns.

Welcome Mayndi
That is a beautiful shot, being motherly is always first. Yet I can understand the frustration because other then the time stamp very nice, I love the reflection in the water.
