What a sad event, for the girl and the tiger.
I live right next to Wild Cat Habitat, and go there for their shows and to support of animals. I think keeping wild life as a pet by "private" owners should be illegal. I would never support any photography with people posing next to the big cats, knowing what those animals go through. I feel very sorry for the family and friends of this girl.
It never stops to amaze me.....:cry

Where I used to work we had a guy come down with 3 young adult tigers, 2 tiger cubs, and 2 grizzly cubs.

He rescues these animals from small, private "zoos" who breed them to bring in crowds who enjoy seeing baby animals. From there these animals usually have a very, very bad quality of life. Many organizations call Mike, I forget how but he's liscensed for these animals and has a large selection of tigers, lions, bears, snakes, primates, etc when they have an animal that is old or sick. He has an old lion who needs insulin injections. All of them are "rejects" from zoos. He provides them the most natural habitats he can, but he also takes a select few on the road to help teach people that these are WILD animals. They don't do tricks or shows.

(So, to contradict that a bit; the cubs were still on formula)
