Awesome shot! This was done nicely! I enjoy the fact that it is a B/W image just because it makes it alot more simple. The track fadding into the distance was done very well, and I like the crop used, for it wasn't too much or too little. You did a great job on this one! :clap

That is a real cool shot Tom :clap
Why is that track shaped like that in the middle? :scratch
What purpose would it be used for?
That is one Crispy Clean Sharp Shot my friend, it's like you can step into the image :thumb ..... Skippy :D

I have wondered that myself. If anyone knows the answer.......I'm all ears.

Oh yeah. Very sharp. Crisp comes to mind. Very nice B&W. Lots of strength. I love low angles like this. Image immediately pulls me forward but I want to stop and check out everything before I go. If I had it to guess, concerning the two center tracks, they are there for structure support. I believe that is a short bridge over a small creek or seep where the arched center tracks are. Help to keep the ties from shifting? :dunno
Because you have things composed as you have I wonder if a zooming the zoom effect might lend a potential additional result? Vanishing point of the rails probably won't allow for it though :bow Michael

I have two guesses:
1. possible replacement tracks for the curve ahead
2. tracks are being used between the rail to spread the load of the rail over a larger area

As usual Tom, great shot.
I would have personally liked to have seen more of the background (compose the shot higher) but thats all in the artists eye.
All the best.
