I feel i've done all "I" can for/to this image. Was taken in heavy fog and rough seas on the coast of Nova Scotia this past weekend. An hour earlier i was kayaking around this point and had planned on landing in a break between surf sets...the seas progressivly got less forgiving and i had to change my plans for a safer landing spot.
For guessing and experimenting i'm pleased with the feeling this has left me with. I'm looking forward to hearing your responses (i have a few others that are equal but different up over on here : http://donricker.smugmug.com/gallery/3337422#P-1-15)

This is a nice shot!

But...

1. the horizon isn't level.

2. there is a lot of foreground that, while giving depth to the image, is excessive to the point of distraction from the real meat of the image. I'd crop it a bit tighter on the bottom. You'd get your depth but have more focus on the "Wind Whipped Ocean."

Cheers,
VI

I agree with VI on the foreground. The horizon doesn't really bother me. I would crop the bottom to remove most of the very dark rock area, something like below. Hope you don't mind. Still have a rocky forground and this helps lead the eye into the sea.

OK i see that now, good point. pls the rock is a bit lighter where you cropped and has less heaviness to my eye as well. thank you.
