View Full Version : How do I delete the date updated and # of galleries/photos

I updated my site so the categories are 4 columns instead of 2. I'd like to now get rid of the updated date, as well as the # of galleries and photos on my home page.
Also, it would be nice to have the thumbnails slightly bigger and the same size. Can this be done?
And finally, I'm not sure I like the full description of the galleries to be displayed. How do I toggle it on or off, depending on what looks better.
Thanks for your help. By the way, I did a search but I was going from one thread to another and never seemed to be able to find a good explanation for how to do this.
Thanks!

Click on a category, then choose the "customize" button under the gallery. Or from within a gallery, choose "customize gallery" from the drop down menu. Then select YES next to "clean". This will hide the description and date updated. You can save these settings for 'bulk' use, too, if you wish.
In the gallery choose the drop down menu, and choose "zoom thumbnail". This will allow you to select a size for the thumbnail. If you'd like to be able to size your thumbnails in bulk, see #59 in the advanced customization FAQ :thumb.

Thank you Beth! The zoom thumbnail feature is not really what I want. Doesn't this only change what part of the thumbnail is displayed but the actual size stays the same? Also #59 doesn't seem to be my answer either.
Basically what I want is a larger sized thumbnail that is a standard size and applicable to categories, sub-categories and categories.
The "clean" option works! Thank you for that. How can I apply this to all galleries without creating another template and applying that template to all galleries?
Again I appreciate your ;help

Hi--At the top of the customize gallery screen, select the drop down box next to "quick settings", choose/or create what you wish to save the settings as. Once you've done that click on bulk settings, from there you'll be able to assign to your galleries in bulk. If you have different settings for your galleries, you can create multiple quick setting profiles.
The zoom thumbnail DOES help with consistent appearance--for instance if you wanted to have your thumbnails appear square. I don't believe, however, that sizing thumbs on your category page etc.. , is doable through CSS. You could do an html page... after doing a search here on dgrin I found this thread which discusses it in more detail:
