Hi all. The DW and I went on a walk yesterday at the local lake and of course I brought the camera. This is one of the pictures I took. I really like it, hope you do to. Please feel free to comment, good or bad!!!!

I like the composition. The clouds and foreground almost look like a mark of
Zorro with the lake being the diagonal that joins them. Very peacful setting.
And, I bet you enjoyed the hike too.
The clouds are blown out and the foreground under exposed. These might
be fixed in PS using this (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=3491&page=3&pp=10)thread.
The horizon is also (or appears to be) out of whack.

Thanks for the link. I will be getting PS elements 3 in the next few days so I will give that a try. I'm not sure what you mean by the horizon is out of whack?:dunno
Thanks

Take a look at the top edge of the lake--what would form the horizon
line. It looks like the right side of that line is higher than the left. Only
by a tiny amount.
But if I take a straight edge and compare it to somthing I know is
straight (like squaring a piece of stock using a table saw), it isn't
skewed at all. Maybe I'm just seeing things?

EricAn easy fix, at least a partial fix, would be to use the highlights/shadows feature to bring up the shadows a little. A value of 8 or so is a good starting point. The blown out clouds don't bother me as much as the darkness of the foreground.
