taking the family to the Wisconsin dells this next weekend & I'm gonna try to set aside some time to go to the International Crane Foundation. I'm pretty pumped about it. My wife wonders how long I'll be there. "you can only take so many photos of cranes" :huh :crazy I'm wondering if 4gb & 2 batteries is enough:D

Look for shade! :barb
The conservation areas by me all "open" at 8am....hell, sometimes I'm done in an area by 8 am. So far ... no problem.
I realize where you are going is not somewhere you can pop in when you want to.

Great eye contact Dave. I hear ya on the lack of action. Man, sometimes I just want to scream at them to do something.
Hey, I've actually been to Wisconsin Dells. I went as kid in either '79 or '80, I can't remember. It's a very pretty place. Have fun!

Very crisp shots , of 1 of my favorite birds ....
Also , when you visit the Dells , you should try to take a lower Dells tour boat . You will see some absolutely beautiful scenes !!!!!
And you have to take the Duck tour also !!!!!!!!!
Fun time ..

Very nice shots with pleasing color.. I like the setting and how the creamy top half of the bg isolates the bird's upperparts. :thumb :clap
