Wouldn't ya know it.....they make a Lens Coat for a BIGMA but not Sigma 80-400mm.
BTW: Wouldn't mind seeing something like this for the body also!
Anyone have any other Camo Lens solutions short of Camo duct tape? :dunno

From their site (http://www.lenscoat.com/contact_us.php) I was able to enter a request for this. If they get enough, it'll get made. In the meantime, the lens is 7.5" long, so the 9" (http://www.naturescapes.net/store/product.php?productid=131&cat=67&page=1)Storm Jacket (http://www.naturescapes.net/store/product.php?productid=131&cat=67&page=1) might be adaptable. Another option might be McNett Camo Form Self-Cling Camo Wrap (http://www.botac.com/mccafoprwr.html). I have no personal experience with this but the write up says it's self-clinging and resuable.

Jim,
Thanks for your interest in LensCoat (http://www.lenscoat.com). I'm sorry that we do not make a cover for the Sigma 80-400 at this time. We will keep your request on file. We try to make covers for lenses where there is enough demand to justify the costs. Currently we make covers for over 40 lenses and they are available in 5 different colors/patterns. But you CAN get a custom cover made if you desire. The cost for a custom cover for this lens would be $185. This is how a good number of LensCoat models got there start since there wasn't enough initial demand for the lens. If you are interested please email sales AT lenscoat.com
Thanks,

I'd better do some research before I use that.
Don't wanna have a mess on my equipment if I'd ever remove that.
I was being faciatious about using duct tape as it'd leave one hellova residue and gets shabby over time!
I'll keep my eye out and see if I find some user info on that Cling Wrap.

I use AquaTech, and I think this one would do for both lens and housing... I've had mine now for 2 years with no problems.. Works as well in a dusty environment if you want to. Makes the difference between shooting an event and not.. Don't forget the eyepiece to go along with it.....

:agree It's great to be able to directly bend the ear of the retailers & manufacturers. Win for everyone. :thumb

Speaking of which, I just bought a set of LensCoat tripod leg pads from B&H recently for my new Gitzo tripod. Very nice. :thumb Those tripod legs get pretty painful resting on your shoulder otherwise.
