A Non-Egret Shot for Fish

The Fish :fish has been getting kind of grumpy with all the egret shots I've posted so I figure I better get a non-egret shot up fast. I would like to point out that this feller's main dietary intake is, of course FISH. :rofl

Not to worry. The :fish is aces with me. he gets a bit testy but deep down he's actually a pussycat.

That eagle and I are getting real friendly. He's agreed to make daily appearances as long as I provide him with, dare I say it? Fresh fish.

Theoretically, we've got bald eagles here too, but I've never seen one around.

Did you shoot up so you wouldn't get all the people in the photo? It is quite effective. I like it.

Hey Trish,

This was shot on the last day when the eagle came in right after sunrise and was lit beautifully from the eastern side of the tree. I'm usually shooting from the western side of the tree because I have always caught him during his afternoon visit.

I wish I had a great idea why I chose that angle but quite simply the eagle was on top of this 25 foot high dead tree and I was at the bottom. I only had one way to shoot the sucker.
