Nice series! I really like the first kingfisher shot and the last burchell shot! I like warm tone in your pictures! Its something I really enjoy in bird shots :)

What a variety. The kingfisher, coucal and the lilac breasted roller are my favorites by far!

And it got better gong down. :DThanks! You don't realize how lucky I was to get that robin shot. They normally spend their day deep in the bush teasing you with their really beautiful songs.

What a variety. The kingfisher, coucal and the lilac breasted roller are my favorites by far!Thanks Stephen. It was quite strange on this trip, normally the coucals skulk in the bush and disappear as soon as you stop - this time we must have seen well over a hundred on our travels, all posing to have their pics taken.

I've never been able to get near his cousins here.:cryThanks Ric. This one was just friendly enough to want to pose :D. Normally they sit on the other side of the reeds/tree just to make sure you can't get a clear shot :rofl

.Thanks Skippy! We have quite a few birds with red eyes, but normally not quite as vivid as the two coucals I've shown here. Could be something to do with spring coming :barb
