Thanks for taking us along. :thumb

I like them quite a bit, in fact the only one that bugs me a little is the cathedral ceiling. I think the angle you chose is interesting, but I guess I'm not a fan of selective color in this instance. I'd much prefer to see it all BW or all color...or perhaps a uniform desaturation. And if you could get rid of the security camera too... :D

I enjoy color photography, but I really have a passion for black & white photography. I think that was sort of my mindset with these images. I also think my goal was not to show how beautiful england countrysides or cities are (though they certainly are fantastic). I love portraying little snippets that make interesting compositions and tell a story. You also noticed I also have a thing for staircases - I think they are so beautiful to photograph. Thanks for looking!

I can see the point about colorful countrysides, but I REALLY enjoyed your take on England. In fact, if I were to go again I would probably do the same.

One: I love black and white photography.
Two: I love the serene, unpopulated feel you have captured here by eliminating the hustle and bustle.
Three: I adore the geometric challenge and the aesthetic possibilities of staircases. I have a special place in my heart for them, but am usually unable to capture them at their best angle while giving a fresh perspective.

Thanks for sharing these!

I just returned from 3 weeks in England, in fact, I was standing in many of the same places! Unfortunately, though, I was traveling with students and didn't have the opportunities for the serene, peaceful photo shoots. I particularly like your photos from Canterbury, as the monastery ruins and herb garden there really caught me eye when I was there too.

Thanks for sharing, your photos are excellent!

Very nice gallery of shots! It's interesting to see every photo with no people at all. Being a "people" shooter, I would never think to do this while traveling, but it works very well in these particular locations along with your excellent black and white conversion. Great job and I enjoyed your take on England!!! :thumb

Wow. I like the treatment you've done with the Canterbury Cathedral ceiling.

There are a lot of really old and really cool buildings. I bet you could spend days studying them.
