Can anyone recommend anything? I just need something that will hold the camera with the smallish (Canon 28-105 or something similar) lens on it. Accessories (battery, cards) would be a bonus, but not necessary. Waterproof/resistant would rock, but isn't required...
Any recommendations that aren't pricey?
Thanks!

Hi PM,
I have a ThinkTank bag that I used for a similar inventory, but has seen very little use. You probably couldnt' tell the difference between mine and a new one. I loved the bag, but bought an extra flash, battery pack and the 100-400 lense right after I bought the bag and now it's just sitting next to my new bigger bag.

I was still sitting on the fence about whether or not to keep it for when I wanted to go a little lighter, but if you like it, I'd be willing to part with it for a discounted retail price.
Let me know at michael@jacksonfam.com. Good luck otherwise.

Thanks so much! But honestly, all I really want is something like the Digital Holster 20. Literally only for the camera and a medium lens.... (If that's what you happen to have, definitely let me know!)
But you did point me to a bag that I'd like, though!
(I have a great LowePro bag, but really just want a single bag for dragging around without all the other lenses and stuff.)
Thansk again!

Oh, ya, I should have read a little closer. :) I love the ThinkTank bags so if you're looking at one of those I'd give them five stars.

I have Rezo 170AW by LowePro (http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Shoulder_Bags/allWeather/Rezo_170_AW.aspx) cost me $55 new...it is under a yr old and has been collecting dust as I decided to go with the LowePro 75AW's (2 of them)...the Rezo fits my KM7D with either the 24-70 2.8 or thje 28-200 3.5 - 5.6 with a little room left over...it has an all weather cover and also a microfibre lens cloth attached inside......linky above to lowes site for actual specs...haven't had toime to get my stuff that I need to turn loose of on here ...but will let this go for 45 including paypal (or postal MO) and shipping.......

How about something like Lowepro's OffTrail2? It does have a couple of lens cases, but those are Sliplock cases & removable. I started out with one & keep it for when I want to go really light. The ThinkTank and Kinesis stuff looks good & is fairly popular.

Thanks, Art and Claudermilk. So far I'm kinda getting into the Digital Holster 20. Exactly what I'm looking for. But the LowePro Offtrail 2 is pretty cool with detachable lens cases. I just don't really like belt bags. I have kids that hang out on my hips - that's enough weight there for me! LOL! But I may have to check it out in a store when I get to a larger town than my home town.
Thanks so much! Art, that isn't quite what I'm looking for, but thank you for the offer! Good luck selling it - and decided on a new camera. (I LOVE my 5D, for what it's worth. The 30D is awesome, too, but I love the FF of the 5d, among a few other differences.)

I actually got a pretty good camera/one lens only bag from a local store (Can't remember if it was BB or W*M...)
Only like 20 bucks.
Might work for you.

I have this in blue:
http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Toploading/classic/Topload_Zoom_2.aspx
It fits my 30D with 24-105 f4L attached with the hood reversed. In the front pocket I keep a few cf cards and an extra battery.
I like this bag because when all I want to take is my camera and a lens it is perfect size.

I tried a TON of bags in B&H, literally over an hour of stuffing my gear in bags. I was really leaning toward the Lowepro Stealth Reporter 100 or 200, but in the end bought the Tamrac Adventure 4 Messenger Bag:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/425884-REG/Tamrac_553403_5534_Adventure_Messenger_4.html
It fits my XT with lens, an extra lens, and a flash (or another lens). It is a messenger bag style, so it doesnt scream " CAMERA". I also can just get my XT with 70-200 lens attached in the bag, which was something I could not do with the Lowepros.
It is a nice bag, and for $44, you can't go wrong...check it out.

So what's wrong sticking with Canon's own Zoom Pack 1000 holster? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/213184-REG/Canon_0360012_Zoom_Pack_1000_Holster.html
I've been using one for several years, it holds up very well, is nicely padded, has a good shoulder strap (and even has a waist belt if you want to go that route). The only negative is Canon's ugly black/olive color scheme and the emblazoned Canon label. Its only $25, and actually looks good when stuffed with the camera and lens (it will fit your zoom just fine, with room to spare).

Oh, jeez! LOL! I thought this would be easy! Now I have to really sit and look at all these bags. I'm headed to Colorado Springs this weekend so I'll have to find a camera store and try the ones they have out.
Thanks so much for all teh suggestions! Most helpful!! I'll let you know what I end up with - and how I like it!
Thanks!
