numerical keywords wont save?

Im having problems getting numerical keywords to show up? I shoot motocross and would like to allow riders to search for their pictures by bike number. I have a javascript search that works, but it cant find the numbers. Seems like I can type in a word for a keyword, but not a number. It dosnt save it.

Keywords automatically drop numbers unless you enclose them in "quotes".
