Trouble with uploading and exif data

I just uploaded a new shot for the LPS 9 round, but it is not showing date taken, just the date modified. I am travelling, and using my laptop (not my usual machine) - both are pc's (Dell) running XP, though the laptop only has the IE browser, and Photoshop CS, whereas the usual one has FF and CS3.

Photoshop File Info shows all the exif data, including date/time of original, in the file I uploaded (via IE option). I was going to upload it again, using the drag & drop, but after the java program installed, it killed IE, and I had to reopen it - tried to upload twice after that but each time I go to add photos, it kills IE.

I'm heading for Mt Rainier in the late morning, so this is the last shot I have to get this entered in LPS.

If there is a quick fix to get the date taken to show in the exif I already uploaded, that would be the easiest, but I'd also like to get the uploading thing solved.

As an aside, I've been having login problems as well. I have to log in twice with the laptop, and the desktop won't work at all. That will have to wait a week or so, til I get home.

Hi Dane,

Dunno what you did when saving the file, but I opened it in PS, saved it again, and then replaced the photo on your site. The exif is fine now:

It still only shows the date modified, which I presume is not adequate for entry in LPS. I'm trying to get it to show date taken.

If I try to upload again, IE is killed (closes immediately) when I click on add photos. This began happening after downloading the drag & drop java program last night. I think something in it did not agree with my computer, as now I can't upload anything!

Any help would be appreciated - it seems like a job for a geek - I'd like to delete it (the java thing) if someone can tell me where to find it.

Got it posted in LPS. I don't understand why all this wierdness is going on, but the other issues will have to wait til I get back home. "The mountain" is calling . . .

BTW, my sincere apologies for giving you the incorrect link earlier - you guys have enough to deal with without that - double Duh!
