Does smugmug support URL framing? When I go to my host server and try to point my domain to: xxxxxxx.smugmug.com/gallerynumber, the host automatically brings up xxxxxxx.smugmug.com.

URL framing works on all other sites I've tried, including cnn.com.

any thoughts?
Thanks,

Andy

Hi, we don't support Frames, I'm sorry.
We support CNAME Aliasing - that's all explained here, including why we do not support framing....

Thanks,Assuming you're a power or pro user, you can use the vanity url hack: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=20011

Is that what you're looking for?

Thanks! Those are two very good references.

Actually, what I'm trying to do is to setup a public page displaying automatically updated galleries (probably using shared galleries) that is completely untraceable to my main SmugMug site (an archive of family pictures searchable my keyword) via url or navigation. David suggested doing the opposite (run the public pics on the main site and then protecting the family pics) but then there would be no keyword search capability.

Hmmm. I'm out of ideas...

Keyword search capability does exist, in this case (private galleries), when logged in to your own site. Others cannot use this keyword search functionality (unless you allow them to log-in), but you can. This was one of the SmugIsland achievements.
