Hi Kelly, welcome to the Forum :clap

I like that first shot, at first I thought it was a tennis ball that had been cut, the shadow made me look closer to see it is in fact a broken egg shell.

This is like talking to myself here (forgive me)
Centering doesn't always work (am I saying this?? me the Queen of centering :huh )

Image #2 I love to bits I do I do :lust that is one neat Frog Shot girl :clap
Nice and sharp, makes you wonder what it might be looking at the way he is facing.

Image #3 ... when shooting bugs, go for the EYES IN FOCUS
The background on this one is also distracting.

Over all you did very nicely :thumb you have a good eye,
need some work on composition (many of us do too :nod )

Keep Posting Kelly and Well Done :D .... Skippy

the first takes my cake, perhaps at another angle it'd be further shattering

i like the green scheme with your frog, though centering drys it up for me a bit, though i understand frogs can be slippery subjects

next time come up through the water in scuba approach perhaps

Good shots - like the egg and frog :)
The damsel fly is not so good- too centred and the pose/angle is not so good- normally with bugs you need to get their eyes in focus and take them off centre by giving them more room in the direction they are looking.
Excellent start and first post :)

The shadow of the root on the eggshell is a nice touch to the composition. And who doesn't just adore a fun shot of a frog. They say Frogs and Fungi are environmental monitors, so keep an eye (or a lens) on them! Thanks for sharing.
