Okay, I don't have an anti-squirrel obsession but I am going to agree with Harry on this one. I like turtles much more than squirrels. That gator won't have too hard of a time cracking that shell and it looks like there is already blood so hopefully the turtle went quickly.

My youngest loves that the alligator is giving the turtle a ride :uhoh
It's a really neat picture, and perfect for explaining the whole Circle of Life thing to the older kids. Great shot; good stuff :thumb you've provided our science lesson for tomorrow lol.

The turtle kind of brought it on himself. The gator was just sunning himself on the bank and the turtle decided to walk right in front of him. Bad move.

I dunno, when I was in the glades, I saw some turtles who looked like they would eat the gators if they could catch em! lol when your 75 feet up and you look down into a river choked with Gators and see the biggest turtle you have ever seen, litterally pushing through the gators, you gotta show some respect...lol Great photo, the look on the turtles face is like.."Oh hell, I knew it was gonna be one of those days!" Im gonna miss him on the "Slowski's" commercials!

And Harry, i too share your hatred for the fluffy tailed Rats everyone thinks are so cute and Innocent..lol After a year long battle to keep them from chewing their way into my house, i think I have won...for now at least!

Just remember that where ever you live our wildlife was living before that developer ran them out of their own homes......kinda like the white man did to the indians.....:D Personally I love the little fluffy tailed buggers so much taht I even invite them to dinner 3 or 4 times a year......and no they don;t taste like chicken but man they are great smoked....as is all wildlife I keep around...sorry Andy...but I am a carnavoire to the max.....as Sweaty Ted says...If I can kill it I can grill it or something along those lines..... :rofl:rofl

I have dozens around my house of course they are the Homeing Kind.....but hey squab is squab is squab......also have tons of crows a few blocks from the house...here it is quite tastey.....at least our last W.E. Sports writer thought so...compared 'em to Dove Breasts only larger.........:ivar

I've seen gators take turtles a few times already. Gators will try just about anything they can get in their mouths.

It would have been pretty quick the gator went into the water with the turtle.
