Yellow-headed black bird.....best I've been able to get so far. They hang back in the reeds. Wish it was a cleaner shot but hey, it's the wild right:dunno

Good going, Dave! :clap

I saw a couple of those yellow guys just this week. No shot for me though:cry...they kept darting in and out of the thicket and finally disappeared.

thx Ric. I blew a couple BIFs of them. I saw a bunch of green heron in this area too but didn't get them yet.

I like the shots where the bird is slightly obscured in the brush, weeds, flowers, limbs, etc...That is the way it is mostly. These "clean" shots at times almost look set up. I like it. I love the pose in the second shot as well and any time you can get a bird eating is a good shot! :thumb

Excellent captures Dave. Obstructions will always be something we will ahve to deal with in getting our shots.

Excellent, Dave. As a matter of fact, I like the setting in the first shot. Adds an element of mystery to it.
