My goodness! I knew snakes could put their mouth over whole prey, but didn't imagine a chick could swallow mom!!!! Cool shots, Glenn.

I saw the band as well.......

What amazing and stunning photos.....I tried to capture my swallows while they were nesting...it was horrid.lol.......so I let them be.:huh

The parent is banded. These were taken at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine, Ca. The swallows are monitored, and banded each year.
