Those who know me also know that I usually photograph wildlife and birds. For a change of pace, I attended a local rodeo yesterday with my two good friends, Bob and Mao. I could easily write a short novel about our afternoon there but will resist doing so. I will simply post a selection of images from the day and hope you enjoy them.

I don't know a thing about rodeos, but this is a really wonderful series of images! Sharp, colorful, great use of depth of field, expressive faces, great timing, ...well heck, I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea! Great job!!! :thumb :thumb

Thanks a lot. If you get the chance, by all means go. It's a blast. And don't forget to take your camera.

Thanks a lot, Jeff. Shot #7 is one of my favourites of the day. That little girl in shot #13 was the only one to complete the ride in mutton busting over two days. All the other kids were dumped within 10 feet of the gate. She held on for the ride all the way to the other end of the ring. She was the hit of the rodeo.
