Here are some shots from this morning, and there were 20 or so of these guys just flying around and catching some bugs that are in the air.

Maybe a little too much blue in the first one?
I love these guys and they are relatively easier to shoot because they will actually hold still for a bit.
Very nice set, Dennis.:thumb

Hi Ric, thanks for the comments on the images, as for regarding the first image being too blue, I went back to the original image and checked it out and its the same as the first image posted here. This guy has more blue in him then the others for what ever reason.
I agree I love these guys for the colors and yes for sitting still a bit to get the shot, and the other is there crest on the head that I really like as well.
Thanks again.

The blue is a cast created by a shadow...I think. Look at the beak. Shooting in the woods, I have to deal with this all the time. There is always some twig or something screwing with my light! :D

Hi Ric, this was something that I over looked with the blue cast and it really shows in the beak for sure, and now to think of it, the sun was coming in from behind the bird, but there was some shade and that would explain the blue cast. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
