African giant black millipede shot at the canadian museum of nature in Ottawa, Canada.

This is my first attempt using this effect. I ended up using the "out of bounds" action found here at atncentral (http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm). I tried "pop out" and couldn't "figure it out" :rolleyes and settled for this.

There are two mistakes on this 1.) There is a dark band accross the top of frame I accidentally left in. 2.) I didn't include just enough "in frame" and will extend that down a smidgeon.

Oh I shot this with a tamron 70-300 in macro mode.

We used to sell these at a pet shop my family owns. Nasty things and yet people still buy them for pets:dunno Nice picture. I like the framing technique (sp?)

Hey AJ,

Usually I just hated framed shots but this one is the exception. Very nicely done.:thumb

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I wanted to try the effect before, but like some have said, it's sometimes tacky or overdone. I waited to get this type of shot, and I guess it worked.

Last time I posted something "different" on another (cough**STF) all hell broke loose, it's nice to hear constructive critisism without the calous. GJ Dgrin!:clap

Thanks again!
