Lay down Sally???
What's that got to do with these photos....Well

Was out on the motorcycle shooting...(bike is my summer time photo vehicle) some old farms and cemeteries with the Sony 717.
Was moving to another spot down the road when a lady in a car got right on my backside.

I waved her off a couple of times but she just wouldn't quit I really thought she was going to hit my back tire.
I have no Idea why she was in such a big hurry but she was.

I made a real sharp turn to the left shoulder of this country road trying to get out of her way and...
yep you guessed it hit some gravel and layed the bike down on it's side.

I kind of stayed upright on one foot and my other foot was snaged on the left foot peg so I just skinned up my ankle on the peg.
The other foot peg the one that was down got bent which took about 5 minutes to kicked it out with my foot.

I was out all day shooting and me and the bike are running fine.

Anyway here are some of the IR photos from that day.

Oh...and I did see the lady later that day comming out of a church in the small town of Morgan Ky.
I think she was late for church :scratch

Thanks Mr. P

Yes the old 717 is a good camera:D

As far as post I use a lot of the techniques used by these guys---
John Arnold (http://www.johnarnoldphotography.co.uk/) His podcast (http://www.photowalkthrough.com/)
John Reuter (http://johnreuter.com/)
NAPP (http://www.photoshopuser.com/)
This guy is unreal Bert Monroy (http://www.bertmonroy.com/)
And also all the guys on this forum.

I love watching the photoshop type Video Podcasts

But basicly I make two layers one Multiply one Screen blending mode fill with black (hides everything) then paint in what I want.

Paint on Mutiply layer for darking
Paint on Screen layer for lightening

CS3's ablity to put jpg's into RAW window and also the Black and White...under adjustments (I think?) help a lot.

If you need more just ask :D

Thanks
Fred

Thanks guys

Just ordered a 30D really wanted 1D MarkIII or the 5D but maybe next time (I'm starting to save now) Canon is killing me :D

When I get the 30D then the 20D goes to MaxMax for conversion can't wait to shoot with the 20D in IR :rofl

Fred,
I think these are absolutely fabulous. Well composed, and lovely use of IR with color... Very nice indeed.

Is the lady who caused your crash going to pay for the repairs to your bike and you psyche?? She certainly ought to.:thumb

Great shots......she did not stop to see if you needed any kind of assistance??
Thought there were laws against that......but you are in Kentucky......

Thanks George great to hear from you and to see you are still posting here...love seeing your work

Jim thank for thre nice words.

In the post office shot the church and the lady are just behind the building on the left.
I stopped for the shot but kept thinking I should walk over and say something...but in the end I just kept shooting :dunno

Art I don't think she even knew I went down...she had one thing on her mind...get to church.

The whole thing was my right foot was rolling over the gravel kind of like sking.
I was just glad the bike wasen't scrached uo just the peg...and I still don't know how I kicked it back straght.
And yep we are in Kentucky:D...but I do love it here

Going out this same way Sunday I just hope she gets up early this time.

I love doing these type of shots more photoshop then true photography but lots of fun

Thanks everyone

Fred
