Hello All,

Today I took a lunchtime walk along the south end of Central Park to photograph The Gates in the rain.

I had 21 minutes to shoot these images in which I tried to capture the quiet and calm atmosphere of the display and the park due to the rain:

Nicholas,

Looks like you made great use of your 21 minutes!!
This one is my favorite (http://nickphoto123.smugmug.com/gallery/398761/2/15916677/Large)
Could work well for the Predominant Color Challenge.

I still haven't figured out how to post image links and I know this probably won't work because theres's no med, large, jpg, etc. but maybe you can figure out which photo it is. It's #14 of the first page.

I like it because it shows the city and the installation of the Gates, and I like the reflections in the water too. Thanks for sharing these.

Hello Dee & Nir and All,

Glad you liked my pics.

While shooting I bumped into an old man who claimed 'Oh, you got the Sony F-828, I have the Minolta'. It was raining. My camera was in and out of my plastic bag. His camera was getting wet and he had no plastic bag. I gave him an extra one I had. He thanked me and walked away.

It wasn't until I saw the image of the Horse & Rider on my monitor that I realized I photographed the old man taking a picture of the same statue with his Minolta.

Regards, Nicholas
