Welcome to Contest #8, a qualifying round. This round is open to any dgrin member! It will run from Monday, June 25th 00:01 (12:01am), NYC time (GMT -5) to Monday, July 9th 00:01 (12:01am), NYC time (GMT -5)

The creativity that went into illustrating joy and sorrow can be used to now to bring life to the current two theme choices. How you go about that will be an interesting challenge for sure as there is a lot of room for emotion here still.

Taken from Skinner's Butte in Eugene Oregon during the 4th of July fireworks displays, and this burst is from the Alton Baker Park/Freedom Festival launch site. I had no less than 7 fireworks displays in site from the location and was snapping shots of at least 3 of them - infact, pre-crop, there were two displays in this shot, an airplane and an emergency flare.
