Hi guys, I have a 350 and use a Tamron 70-300 zoom for my walking around wildlife shots etc. I sometimes need some more range and would like suggestions as to the best way to achieve this without shelling out for a 400-500 lens!
Ideas gratefully received!

OK being serious, have you looked into a 1.4x Tele-converter. I have one I use for my 70-200 f2.8 when I need a little extra reach, it works good for me.

More the 300, thats like over 500mm on a FF SLR, I say buy some quieter shoes and try to get closer :) Way better quality then adding more glass :wink

Sheesh, I'd hate to have to buy a replacement hood for the 5200 knowing the silly prices of their hoods.:huh:rofl

Oh yeah, what's your budget?
There's the
Sigma 50-500, 80-400
Tokina 80-400
Tamron 200-500
Canon 100-400

going past 300mm for under 400-500 is a pretty tall order... at least with a lens thats worth a damn. IMHO, that would be either that sigma 50-500, the 100-400L, or the 400/5.6L - starting at a grand. mmm...400/5.6L is on my list tho...
