First Whip in a while

i think my last DGRIN post period was 3 months ago:cry . Stupid work gets in the way of whats really important. oh well, i'll get to combine them both in about a month when i'm done with the Air Force.

This is a portrait i did for a friend of mine recently... beat me up.

Nice portrait! You did a good job getting the subject to look happy.

Her hair look a bit messed up to me, crooked part, but it may just be the style. The column or whatever she is standing behind is distracting because it doesn't tie into the picture. If she had a hand on it or something it might work, but as it is I might crop to reduce it a bit.

What I like about this shot are the angles. There are no horizontal or vertical lines, and the subject leaning sideways plays right into that.

I think a closer crop would improve the shot.

There's a dark spec or something just above where her shirt intersects the column she's leaning out from. Also you might want to heal the pimple on her chin.

Beautiful girl, nice composition, but on my screen image looks tad dark and lacks contrast. :dunno
