I'm pretty pumped about the new Photo Workstation (http://blog.rrdphoto.com/2007/06/new-photoshop-workstation.html) I built out this week. Details are on the blog, but the basics are: Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 2GB DDR-2 800 in dual channel mode, 500GB SATA II drive.
I had been using a system that was *a lot* slower - a P4 2.2GHz HT. ...this is a major upgrade for me! I haven't run the Photoshop benchmark yet, but I'll check that out as soon as I can - maybe I can compare it to the old system.
