Ask and you shall receive. I prefer the B&W conversion. I softened it a little which seems kinder to the baby's complexion. Which do you prefer?

The black and white version as well...very classy the way you've edited it and a great gift for your wife (she's gonna love it!). Good looking kiddles, by the way... :):

Black and white for me too.. I like the color version but for what you are going for I think the black and white is stunning..:clap

Natch, I like the color more in this case. It's so much more alive. So much more about people and so much less about the photographer. The B&W seems relatively sterile.
B&W! Beautiful! I'm going to 'steal' your idea Mitchell.

Thanks for all the kind comments! My wife loved the photo. I suspect the tears were somehow connected to all of her raging hormones!:lust
Good luck trying this shot, Nir. It is tough getting three young kids to hold still with their heads so close together!! I wound up shooting this on a floor near a large window for some natural lighting. I used a flash set off on a second tripod which I bounced off the white ceiling to fill in some of the shadows.

I love both versions :thumb :thumb Love the composition, too!!
As Rutt points out, the color version seems more "real". But, the B&W seems more elegant and, if you will, "artsy". No colors to distract, just 3 cute kids :clap :clap I also like the tighter crop on the B&W version :thumb
Thanks for sharing and I bet she cried when you gave her this :):

The high key B&W seems timeless to me. I like it a great deal and I think it will wear better over the long haul. The detail in the color image does not help at all in my limited opinion.
