Step-up adaptor for Sony DSC-H9?

Does anyone know of a step-up ring adaptor which will go from 74mm to 77mm? Sony REALLY goofed with the DSC-H9, which has a 74mm thread - so the only filters you can use are the expensive Sony filters, and they only offer 2. I'm interested in this camera, but only if I can use other filters - an ND filter and an IR filter in particular. If I could adapt it to fit the 77mm thread, finding filters won't be a problem.

Wow, 74mm is an odd thread size. You could take an older/used 74mm filter, knock out the glass, glue a more standard adapter to it and screw a standard filter size into that.
