High school XC skiing meet

This afternoon was the final DCL (Boston area Metro West) cross country ski meet of the season. It was a blast to shoot.

This was the strongest girl. She led every heat she was in:

By the time she got to the final turn, nobody else was close:

The boys were more evenly matched. This is a early heat:

By the final turn 327 was clear:

But there was strong competition from other heats:

All in all it was paradise for photographers. Great overcast late afternoon light and great looking kids.

Great shots Rutt, I particularly like these two, they really capture a sense of action and determination!

My daughter has a x country match (run) on Saturday, so thanks for the ideas & inspiration.

I agree. It all looks great :thumb :thumb Action, good looking kids, decent light and lots of photo ops. Can't ask for more than that (well, you can ask, but be prepared to be disappointed...lol)
