Well, as I mentioned, I've been spending time (slaving)in my gardens trying to get them back in shape. When I took breaks, I would pick up the camera and catch the new babies in the yard.

This is a juve grackle. It's feathers are not irridescent yet and it's eyes have not turned yellow. Sure looks like it's descended from the dinosaurs to me.

Thanks for commenting Trish. It's not the wetlands - actually it's quite small, but we get an incredible assortment of creatures. Yesterday I saw the first dragonflies of the season. We've had the damsels for awhile now.
